Career building starts from the 10th class, mantra for a successful life have a good score in 10th Board Exam then get a seat in the good intermediate 10+2 school/college. Study hard and prepare for various entrance examinations. It can have an altogether different results for each individual. Some will score good and many will be average. Who are thru to IITs/ IIMs, sooner or later they will be successful in climbing the ladders in corporate world to the top most positions, others average college students can also reach to the top most positions in their organizations with their destiny, hardwork, knowledge and going against the comfort. Alternatively, have to be pleased with average results. Sadly, though, we have created a perception in our minds which view a good job or a good career as the one which pays well and the one which is in the latest trend in the job market. But really, is that all it takes to choose a career field, get into it, work immensely hard at it, and spend one’s entire life working through it, even though the person involved is not satisfied on an intrinsic level with his work profile as many jobs are not able to fill the void place inside one’s heart, mind and soul.Those are only satisfied when they are in love with the basic nature of their work and compromise their career with the demand of situation to run their family, manage loan EMIs and other liabilities.
Hence, the most crucial, and the first and foremost, step is to make the right career selection rather managing to get admission to the top premiere college of the country which itself ensure 100% placements in a top reputed company.
In my personal opinion as well as what is market trend and proved, people are most elated and satisfied when they are in best innovative and best employers who take care about their employees.
As most of the good companies who are best employers visit only to the premiere colleges for campus placement and offer good remuneration, perks and take good care of their employees.
It simply implies that one needs to understand what kind of career would be best suitable for him; one does not need to pursue Engineering just because his elder brother is a terrific engineer, or his parents want him to become one, or because it is the latest trendsetter. Absolutely not. Every individual is born with a different mind, sensibilities, skills, abilities, pace and interests. If you are not good for engineering, then donot just take admission in normal engineering college for the sake of social status as after completion of course, real struggle will start and you will feel humiliated when your freind or junior from premiere college will be at a much higher position and living better life. It is much easy to say, "never compare yourself with others", but in reality, human beings are driven by sentiments which supersedes all the philosophy of the life.
Now the million-dollar question is: What to do if I am not good at studies? The answer is: Let’s take the example of Mr. Dhoni. I mean, who doesn’t know him today! He quit his job with Railways and hence, he eventually turned to his passion for Cricket and brought a kind of a revolution in the literary arena in India for the youth with his natural, simple and articulate cricketing skills highlighting the major issues faced by today’s Indian youth in the most subtle manner. Would Mr. Dhoni have been as successful as he is today otherwise?
One needs to decipher one’s own personality, interests, values and aptitude and completely envisage these aspects. Hence, just donot waste your effort, time and money for a course in which you will never be fit or just can manage to get admission in average colleges, identify your potential and aim for the career which is best suited for you. For example, if you know that engineering not your cup of tea then just dont go to any average college and waste money there, it will be better to start preparation for MBA from a top premiere college, may be your aptitude skills are most suitable for management skills.
If considered and followed in the right manner by people, it would undoubtedly diminish the urgent issues which our country is facing like unemployment, under-employment, job dissatisfaction, etc. to a considerable level. And it would be an immense aid to our constantly wavering job market and overall economy.
